U2 Tribute Rattle and Hum are the North West's leading U2 tribute band.Although based in Burnley Lancashire two of the members live in Manchester and one in Sheffield.

We pride ourselves in recreating the experience of being at a real U2 gig.Hours of investment in terms of time and a lot of cash has gone in to equipment so we can create the sound and looks of the real U2.

The History – The band was formed by a chance meeting on Boxing Day 2003 at a RAID gig in the Craven Heifer Burnley. Andy (from RAID) and Nick a member of another local band, The StrawDogs, discussed their love of U2 and the guitar playing of the Edge.

So, the original line up was Andy and Ian from RAID, Nick and Gary from
The StrawDogs. After a short while Ian left and the boys were forced to advertise for a Larry Mullen Jr. FAST Eddie Rayner answered the advert in The Loot and the stage was set.

The band rehearsed 2/3 nights a week for 6 months in 2004,the biggest challenge was getting that unique U2 sound.

Andy and Eddie provided the driving beat for Nick to layer the Edge’s guitar too and with Gary being the 2nd best frontman in the world (after Bono) the boys started to play Rock and Roll. The first gig was 26th November 2004 at the Coaching House Burnley and the rest is history..

After two years and nearly 100 gigs the final member of the line-up joined the boys late 2006. After being one of the crowd, he now stands out from the crowd.
Craig joined as the sound engineer. Our very own Joe o’herilley.

In October 2007 Nick was diagnoised with Spinal Cancer and unfortunately has had to take a break from the band but sadly passed away in February 2008, he will be always remembered for his outstanding contribution to the band and will always be in our music.

Jules Hall was recruited from U2 tribute band Elevation to play the EDGE.After only one two hour rehersal Jules did his first gig the day after an amazing feat....Thanks to Jules we are able to continue with the band.

Rattle and Hum are available to play anywhere in the world at music venues, festivals, pubs, corporate events, private parties/functions and certain charity events.

We also provide the PA sound system, Lighting Rig and Backdrop should you need it.
