Friday Night at The Millstone Darwen
Sunday, October 28, 2007
Well what can be said about this gig. In many ways ways sad but jubilation too at the way Jules performed and after what the boys had achieved in a two hour rehersal Thursday night it was quite amazing, the whole week had been topsy turvy and totally unexpected.
The band played 18 songs Desire was played not as the Slane Castle version but the Rattle Hum version. Out of Control rocked it was the first time Jules had played it live. Bono dedicated One to Nick.
Craig produced one of the best sounds of a live band we can remember truely fantastic and Mick as usual great with the gear we thank you both. Sometimes I think you are under appreciated but you are vital to what Rattle and Hum do.
Thanks to Jules you were awesome mate.
Just a quick note on Nick,Adam visited him earlier this afternoon at his home he was in good spirits he is back in hospital later tonight for more tests tomorrow. Good luck mate and we wish you all the very best our thoughts are with you Caroline and the girls at this difficult time.
