It's Christmas at The Talbot in Burnley (Baby please come home)....

The boys took to the stage just after 9.30pm for what turned out to be the longest show Rattle and Hum have performed this year. Ticket sales went well, an extra 40 people paid on the door.
The crowd seemed to be enjoying the renditions of all U2's hits, first set highlights were Beautiful Day, Pride and of course Verigo which got a second airing later in the second set.
Out of Control kicked of the second set and brought the house down, this song is nearly 30 years old. If released now by U2 would be a sure fire number One.
Mysterious Ways got it's second playing we even had a girl at the front doing the belly dancer moves. The old favourites Streets and With or Without You had the crowd dancing and screaming for more.
The boys left the stage at 12.30AM and came back on a played U2's only ever Christmas Song (It's Christmas baby please come home) and to say it was only rehearsed once a month ago it went down a treat. The night ended with a rockin' version of Sunday Bloody Sunday.
Jules commented it was the hottest gig he had ever done.
It was great to see so many of our friends who have supported us all year at the gig, we class this as our home venue. Bono presented Tony and Michelle with a CD and a signed poster for the pub.
Thanks to to Tony and Michelle for having us and to all who spent there hard earned cash to come and see us play.
We are playing our last gig of the year this Saturday at The Lane Ends in Burnley should be a great night hope to see you all there. In the meantime here is the setlist and pics will be posted later.
