Rattle and Hum star at U23D UK Movie Premier

What a day it was... It was always going to be good but this show just had that WOW factor. The Printworks in Manachester was having a U2 day to celebrate the UK launch of the U2 film U23D, filmed on the final leg of the verigo tour. The film was being screened at the IMAX theatre in the Printworks.

As well as the film launch Waxy o'connors an irish bar had a U2 day. The Hard Rock cafe also had a U2 themed event.

But THE MAIN EVENT took place at 8.00PM as Bono and the boys took to the stage for the first of two blinding sets.

The first set was well received by the crowd mainly gathered outside Waxy o'connors to get the best vantage point. During New years Day Clayton went walk about. The Edge and Bono making good use of the unusually big stage seting.

The whole thing absolutely exploded in the second set Angel of harlem had the crowd on their feet and by the time Streets was played it was just like being at a U2 gig. It felt like nothing the band had experienced before it wasn't the crowd clapping and cheering (That is usual) but you could feel a very srong emotion in the air. One was just perfect the boys put everything in to this show it meant a lot to them to play such a special event, and I am sure watching the film before influenced the perfromance too.

Thanks katie at The Printworks, Julia at Waxy O'connors for having us play it was an amazing experience. Thanks to the IMAX for the free VIP tickets to the film.

Thanks to the bar staff at Waxy's for keeping ALL in booze.

Thanks to all the people who watched the gig you made us feel like U2 must feel every night they play and thanks to the security team for keeping the gear and us safe when it got a little boisterous.

It was a very special night one that will be repeated again we hope soon thanks again for the whole experience from all the band. Mick and Craig thanks too you were awesome as usual.

Please check ALL the pics from the gig and rumour has it their may be some cool vdeo footage of the gig if we get our hands on it we willsee if we can post some up on the website.........
