It was the bands first time at The Turf hotel in Burnley, which is situated right in the centre of Burnleys hard Core drinking district....So when Adam and Bono turned up at 5.00PM to start setting up the place was already awash with the hardend drinking core of Burnley as usual the boys humoured the local folks.....

By 9.00PM the pub was banging and as the boys took to the stage to Wake up the crowd were ready in anticipation....As Adam broke in to the familiar bass line of New Years Day the crowd seemed louder than the band they were gonna be really up for it tonight.

"The second set was probably the best the band have played this year" Adam said, Bono absolutely nailed the vocals on City of Blinding Lights this is now a classic U2 song.
"As the backing track for Beautiful Day started before the bass kicked in I remeber just standing there looking at the crowd and thinking this is amazing the place was going mad and I realized how amazing it is to be in this band" Adam added after the gig.

All the hits followed The Edge had promised a different second set this weeek and wow he certainly produced a great one.in Angel of Harlem Bono told the crowd "Tonight The Turf belongs to me"

Stil Haven't found and One had the crowd on a real emotional roller coaster up then down.

The band played Sunday Bloody Sunday then I will Follow was the last song.

The crowd beging for more the boys came back on to play Streets and left the stage after an amazing version of With or Without you that Bono let the crowd sing.

So we are no more in Burnley now until November 26th, the band are on their travels next week it is Morecambe then Manchester. So See you all soon, we wil miss you but we promise some new songs for the next time and thanks to Larry at the Turf you are a perfect Gentleman we loved playing for you and hope to be back next year. Thanks to everyone who turned up yet again we really do appreciate it.

As fast Eddie said "This band is his favourite one to play in. We are all different individuals have our differences at times but we create a great vibe and an amazing energy on stage"
